Please join the Benedict XVI Institute and the Chesterton Academy of St. James in celebrating the splendor of Our Lord’s resurrection with a transcendent Choral Vespers service, held at the stunning St. Patrick's Seminary chapel in Menlo Park on Saturday, May 24th at 4:30 PM.
Service music will be provided by the choristers of Chesterton Academy along with a professional schola, directed by Mr. Greg Billion, with organ accompaniment by Mr. Benton Schmidt. This beautiful liturgy will feature compositions by W.A. Mozart, Anton Bruckner, Gregorio Allegri, Maurice Duruflé, Orlando de Lassus, Pierre de la Rue, Jehan Titelouze, Philipp Scheidemann, and J.S. Bach.
The hour-long service will begin with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by Vespers and benediction. A reception will be held at the Chesterton Academy immediately after the service. The event is free and open to the public, so please share this invitation with your friends!
A reception will follow the service on the grounds on the school, which is also the grounds of the seminary. There will be light food and drink available.
