Join us for an exciting and rewarding stained glass workshop at our lovely rural venue in Bedfordshire.

Led by a qualified tutor and artist, you’ll learn to make stained glass art using traditional techniques, taking your own beautiful panel home the very same day. Full-day or half-day workshop options available.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to build on previous experience, this stained glass course is designed to be fun, friendly, and accessible to all. Learn traditional techniques and craft your own lovely leaded panel for a window or garden.

Workshop Highlights:

🔮 Explore the fundamentals of leaded stained glass art, from glass selection to cutting, shaping, and assembling glass pieces. Our immersive approach ensures you gain confidence as you learn, and our supportive and skilled instructor will be there to guide you at every step.

🧰 Tools and Techniques: Learn the art of soldering and finishing under the guidance of a seasoned professional. Master the techniques that will bring your glass creation to life.

Flexible options: Join for a half day session to create a small piece (roughly A5 size), or opt for the full day experience to make a larger piece (roughly A4 size).

Unfortunately we cannot offer this workshop to pregnant women or nursing mothers.

Do I need any prior experience in working with glass to attend the workshop?

No prior experience is required! Our workshop is designed for all skill levels, including beginners. Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step, and we have patterns you can make which are suitable for a range of skill levels.

What should I wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Also, consider bringing an apron or an old shirt to protect your clothes from glass fragments. Don't forget your glasses if you need them for close work.

What will I learn during the workshop?

You'll learn traditional leaded stained glass techniques, including glass cutting, soldering, and assembly. By the end, you'll have created a stunning leaded panel to display in your window or garden.

What materials are provided?

We provide all the necessary materials, including glass, lead cames and glass cement. We also provide all tools and safety equipment. You'll have access to a variety of glass colors and textures to create your design.

Can I take my finished piece home on the same day?

Absolutely. You will most likely finish your project same day. Some finishing touches might be needed, and if so you'll be provided with guidance on final steps to ensure your piece is ready to display.

Is there an age restriction for the workshop?

Our workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 and above. Younger participants may join if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop runs from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with time for lunch. This allows you a full day to immerse yourself in the stained glass artistry.

Can I bring my own design, or are there pre-set patterns to choose from?

We provide a range of design options, which are suitable for a range of experience levels and are designed to be completed in the time allotted. You're welcome to bring your own design idea, and our instructor can assist you in adapting your design to the stained glass medium.

Is lunch provided during the workshop?

Lunch is not provided, but there will be scheduled breaks where you can enjoy your own packed lunch or explore local dining options in the village.
