Get ready to move, groove, and celebrate! Join us for a vibrant Queer Dance Party hosted by Ashantis Jones (she/they)of Bellamy & Associates and Toni of BodiShak. This event is all about embracing queer joy, inclusive movement, and the power of community.

What to Expect:

  • Energetic Dance Session: No dance experience required! Just bring your authentic self and be ready to have fun.
  • Inclusive Environment: A safe and welcoming space for all identities and bodies.
  • Light Refreshments: Enjoy snacks as we mingle and connect.
  • Attire: We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable! Show up in street clothes, workout attire, or something fun - just make sure you can move freely. This is not a heels class and footwear must be gym-friendly (sneakers, tennis shoes).

This event is open to everyone who wants to celebrate diversity, express themselves through movement, and connect with the community. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, come as you are!

Ashantis Jones (she/they) is a passionate advocate for holistic wellness and community engagement at Bellamy & Associates.

Toni C leads BodiShak, a Chicago-based gym dedicated to inclusive fitness and empowering individuals through movement.

Do I need dance experience to attend?

Not at all! This event is all about celebrating queer joy, movement, and community—no choreography or experience needed. Just bring your authentic self and be ready to move however feels good to you!

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and free to move! Whether that’s athletic wear, casual clothes, or something that expresses your fabulous self, we welcome it all. Sneakers or other supportive footwear are recommended.

Is this event only for LGBTQ+ individuals?

This event is created by and for the queer community, but allies who support and respect LGBTQ+ spaces are absolutely welcome! We aim to foster an inclusive, affirming, and joyful atmosphere for all.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes! We’ll have light refreshments available to keep you fueled and hydrated while we dance and connect.

This is a donation-based event, meaning you can contribute what feels right for you. You can sign up via Eventbrite, and donations help support future inclusive community events like this one. Note: everyone will need to sign a fitness waiver (linked in event description) in order to participate.
