What time should I get there?

Come to the beach as early as possible. The parking at El Porto is limited, so the earlier the better. There will be lunch and activities for you and you family to enjoy the entire day.

How much is parking?

Parking is $2.50 per hour with a 5 hour limit. Credit cards are also accepted.

Where is El Porto beach?

You can get to the El Porto parking lot off of 45th street. El Porto is a section of the northern part of Manhattan Beach beaches.

What is considered a novice surfer?

Novice surfers, are those who just started surfing and need a little help catching waves. Typically you are still surfing the whitewater of waves.

Am I an intermediate or advanced surfer?

Accepted Answer

Intermediate surfers are catching waves on the outside on their own without assistance. Popping up as the wave forms and riding the face or whitewater of a closedout wave. Advanced surfers are catching waves and making turns and completing manuvers.
