Join us for an evening of literary wonder as KUOW Book Club host Katie Campbell sits down with Seattle author Kim Fu to discuss her acclaimed short story collection, Lesser Known Monsters of the 21st Century—our July Book Club pick. This collection of 12 surreal and haunting stories blurs the line between the ordinary and the uncanny. Why are wings growing out of that girl’s legs? What happens when the strange becomes familiar—and the familiar, strange? Together, Katie and Kim will explore the inspiration behind these short stories, and you’ll have the chance to peek inside the author’s imagination—and ask your own questions too. This is our July Book Club pick, and we’d love for you to read along and be part of the conversation.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required to attend.
