Overview:

We are excited to introduce COMSLAB, a long-span composite floor system that combines a high-strength, deep steel deck with a minimum of 2.5” slab of reinforced concrete. Engineered for performance, speed, and cost-efficiency, COMSLAB is designed to meet the demands of modern building construction across a wide range of sectors.

About COMSLAB

COMSLAB is a stay-in-place metal deck system that acts as a permanent formwork and reinforcement for the concrete slab. It is widely used in hotels, multi-family residential buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities due to its structural efficiency, reduced shoring requirements, and fire performance.

Key points covered in the Presentation:

  • Understanding the Components of the COMSLAB System: Explore the steel deck profile, and reinforcing options that make COMSLAB unique.
  • Installation Process: Learn how COMSLAB simplifies construction through reduced shoring, fewer pours, and integrated reinforcement.
  • UL Fire Ratings: Review tested UL fire-rated assemblies, highlighting 1- to 3-hour ratings for different applications.
  • Integration with Structural Systems: See how COMSLAB works with CMU walls, steel beams, and light-gauge framing systems.
  • Benefits of a Steel Deck Floor System: Discover advantages including faster construction timelines, superior fire performance, and long-span capability with fewer supports.
