Comedian Dave Losso returns to Chicago to record his new comedy special at the Block House Gallery in the historic Pullman neighborhood. In the new hour he recounts his experiences growing up on the city’s south side.

Hosted by fellow south side native Darius Kennedy (Cornbread & Beans Podcast) and directed by Emmy Award winner Casey Brown (Exploring the Artistic Process of Truman Lowe: A Journey Through Native American Art & Education).

About Dave:

Labeled a “joke machine” by Savage Henry Magazine, Chicago native Dave Losso’s tireless DIY work ethic has led him to headlining all over the country as well as performing with acts like Kyle Kinane, Sam Tallent, Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, Sammy Obeid, Sean Patton and more.

He has appeared on Audible Comedy, SiriusXM, the Steve Dahl Network and the SeeSo series Hidden America With Jonah Ray. He has also contributed writing to live shows at Second City and The Lincoln Lodge and the sketch group Massive Fraud.

Will there be alcohol for sale?

This is a BYOB only event. You must show ID at the door. There will be no servers so you must keep your drinks by you. There will be cups, water, ice and non-alcoholic mixers available for donations.

Will there be food for sale?

No and we ask that you don’t bring in any food that may cause a disruption and/or large mess. Please don’t eat a bag of chips during the comedy special.

Will there be crowd interaction/participation?

No. There will be no crowd work. There will be zero tolerance for heckling or yelling out. Any disruptive audience members will be removed before filming resumes. You will not be in the final edit so don’t even bother.
