Frequently asked questions

Will the event be inside or outside?

If the weather is nice then the event have some activities set up in the outdoor courtyard of the Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center and the rest inside the social hall. If there is rain or other adverse conditions, then the event will be entirely inside the recreation center.

What is parking like near the venue?

There is free neighborhood parking all around the park where the recreation center is located. Please pay attention to the parking signs and refrain from blocking any driveways, crosswalks, or sidewalks.

What is the closest BART station?

Coliseum BART Station. From there it's either a 36min walk or you can take bus line 73 to the 73rd & Bancroft stop which is an 8min walk from the venue.

What bus lines run closest to the park?

Line 40: the northbound Bancroft Ave & 77th Ave stop and southbound Bancroft Ave & Ritchie St stop are on the same block as the park. Line 73: the westbound 73rd & Krause stop and eastbound 73rd & Bancroft stop are about a block away from the park.

Why should I register even though it's a free event?

Registration allows us to plan appropriately for the number of people who might show up. It also allows us to assess how effectively we are reaching members of our community and find ways to improve.
