Welcome to the AWCF Conference 2025!
We're thrilled to announce that the Australian Wing Chun Federation Conference is returning to the city of Adelaide. Hosted at Adelaide University, within the newly built Graduates Oval Clubrooms this event promises to be a celebration of tradition, community, and the evolution of Wing Chun in Australia.
What to Expect: Wing Chun Workshops: Engage in four days of intensive training, Chi Sau sessions, and insightful discussions led by esteemed practitioners from around Australia.
Optional AWCF Sports Workshop and Tournament: Participate in the AWCF Sports Workshop and Tournament, featuring a modified but flexible Sanshou-based ruleset emphasising safety and approachability, welcoming both striking and non-striking arts, and offers workshops for attendees to explore officiating and coaching roles. Conducted in conjunction with the International Sport Kickboxing Association.
Community Engagement: Connect with fellow practitioners, share experiences, and contribute to the growth of the Wing Chun community through Australia. Participate in the AWCF AGM. The times before, between and after our extensive workshops are just as important as the training itself, with the chance to reconnect and forge new relationships with the Wing Chun community.
Grading and coaching: Up your game as a practitioner or coach. The conference also serves as the AWCF grading exam for most high level grading.
What's Included: Tickets include each day and evening event, catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Full ticket holders will receive a commemorative t-shirt and free competition registration/attendance.
Stay Tuned: Presenters, Program Announcements as well as Grading invitations are coming soon!
Want to contribute? We have a large roster of presenters however are always keen on a fresh perspective. If you feel you can add to our event please contact us via the form HERE.
*Please note start and end times of each day may change as the program is finalised.
Frequently asked questions
As the event is based in the Adelaide CBD we have not included accommodation to allow attendees to find the perfect fit for their individual needs and budget. Adelaide is an extremely accessible city so you'll have no issue getting to the conference even if you wished to stay outside of the city.
We will have a limited number of extra shirts available to purchase for those unable to attend the full event.
Absolutely not! Although some workshops will cover information that may be considered more advanced, information gained will lay the foundations for a fantastic future of training. Whether you're brand new on your Wing Chun journey or a well seasoned practitioner we encourage all to attend!
No. Although our community is founded and most heavily populated by members of this lineage, we have had several practitioners from other lineages and other martial arts join us before and we welcome the exchange of knowledge this brings.
