Join us to celebrate the dedicated volunteers of Ostomy Halifax Society at our annual luncheon! The agenda includes a key note address by Dr. Rasmussen, award winner announcements, and a hooked rug raffle sale with the winner announced at the end of the event, as well as a classic 50/50 draw!


This event is FREE to attend and open to all Ostomy Halifax members and their partners (you don't need to have volunteered in order to attend). We ask that you RSVP by reserving a "ticket" here in order to confirm our numbers for catering. The luncheon menu includes:

  • Appetizer: butternut squash soup
  • Entrée: Grilled Chicken Breast With Wild Mushroom Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potato & Vegetables Dessert: Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Coulis
  • (And a glass of wine for a celebratory toast!)


Our keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Sean Rasmussen, MD, PhD. He is the newest pathologist at the QEII specializing in gastroenterology. He recently completed a fellowship in London before moving to Halifax. Alongside practicing at the QEII he is actively involved with research in the Department of Pathology at Dahousie University.


Awards to be announced include: the President's Awards, Meritorious Service Award, and the Burleigh Wile Award.
