2025-2026 Foothill Dance Team Audition Week

Foothill College Dance Team Auditions — Season 12! 🎉

We’re excited to announce our 12th season and the first full season back since COVID! The Foothill College Dance Team has performed at legendary events like the NFL Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show and Chase Center, and now, we’re ready to continue our legacy with YOU!

Whether you’re an experienced dancer or have a passion for performing, we invite you to audition and become part of something amazing!

Prep Classes (May 27 & 29)

• Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Cost: $5 per session
• What to Expect: These prep classes are a great opportunity to learn the routine and ask any questions before auditions. It’s strongly recommended to attend both prep classes to build your confidence and knowledge.

Audition Week (June 3 & 5)

• Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• What to Expect: During these clinic days, you’ll learn the official audition routine. You are encouraged to attend both days, but you can choose either June 3rd or June 5th, or both! Make sure you’re ready for audition day by learning the routine and polishing your skills.

Audition Day (June 8)

• Registration: 8:00 AM
• Auditions Start: 9:00 AM
• What to Expect: Perform the full routine in front of a panel of judges in groups of 2 or 3. Afterward, you’ll participate in a brief interview. This is your chance to shine and show us what you’ve got!

Dress Code

• Prep Classes: Comfortable attire you can move in.
• Clinic Days & Audition Day: All black dancewear is required. We recommend a two-piece audition outfit (sports bra and black bottoms). If you're wearing shorts, please pair them with skin-tone tights.
• Hair & Makeup: Full hair and makeup is highly advised to simulate performance conditions and boost your confidence!

Eligibility

All audition participants must be enrolled Foothill College students for the Fall 2025 Quarter.

FAQ – Everything You Need to Know

1. What should I wear to the prep and audition sessions?

• Prep Classes: Comfortable attire you can move in.
• Clinic Days (June 3 & 5): All black dancewear.
• Audition Day: A two-piece audition outfit (sports bra and black bottoms), skin-tone tights, full hair and makeup, and dance shoes.

1. Do I need to attend both prep classes and both clinic days?

• Prep classes are optional but encouraged! They help you feel confident and informed.
• Clinic days are essential as they’re where you’ll learn the actual audition routine. We recommend attending both.

1. What if I’ve never danced before?

• We welcome dancers of all levels! Our auditions focus on your potential, passion, and presence, not just technique.

1. How will auditions be evaluated?

• You’ll be judged on performance, memory of the routine, technique, freestyle, and a short interview to get to know you.

1. Can I bring someone to watch?

• Auditions are closed to the public. Only dancers and staff are allowed in the room to maintain a focused, safe space.

1. When will I receive the registration packet?

• Registration packets will be sent via email on June 1st. Be sure to check your inbox and complete all forms on time!

1. What happens if I make the team?

• You’ll receive all next steps via email, including the first team meeting and practice schedule. Get ready for a big year ahead!

1. What if I can’t make it to the pre-audition clinics?

• You can still audition! We’ll provide a video of the routine after the first clinic day so you can catch up if needed.

1. When will results be announced?

• Results will be emailed by Sunday evening at 5:00 PM.
